AVKOPACK® 1101S & AVKOSEAL® H certified by BAM (Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing, Berlin) for work in oxygen environment

BAMThe expanded PTFE packing AVKOPACK® 1101 S, produced from high class yarns, is the next AVKO product, certified by BAM (Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing, Berlin) for work in oxygen environment. Both tests, each containing 5 consecutive oxygen waves, have purpose to determine predisposition of the packing to ignition during the shock waves. The results of the examination show no reaction of the product and its parameters.


Test was successfully passed also by another product from expanded PTFE – AVKOSEAL® H – bi-axial stretched tape with high sealing possibilities and quality. After a range of tests with oxygen under pressure, the conclusion of the testing organization is that “the flame does not transfer to the steel elements, the flange sealing does not burn and the flange connection is kept gas-tight.”
These results prove excellent safety, make the products preferred by AVKO’s Clients and make company’s list with certified products wider.
