AVKOPACK ® expanded graphite packings for specific applications

The specific applications of the packing are related to the sealing of stuffing boxes of valves with functions other than those of regular valves.
For example:

regulating valves – the number of openings and closings of which is many (hundreds of) times greater than that of conventional shut-off valves;
throttling valves – which normally work in an intermediate position (not completely open or closed);
blowoff valves – which when open, release fluid at a very high speed creating the risk of water hammer and which transport steam often mixed up with water.

In these cases, the packing is expected to be as reinforced as possible. This is why AVKO^® offers packings with significantly improved and in some cases unique parameters. The new generation of packings for valves for specific and extreme conditions were created using a unique AVKO^® patented technology. These packings are characterized by low mass loss and have additives against electrochemical corrosion.

FINISEAL® 8099H

Packing from expanded graphite yarn, braided outside with inconel and specially treated with modern technology. We add some inhibitors. It is mainly used at extremal working conditions and the main property is very low ignition loss at 550°C up to 1%.

AVKOPACK® 1320G

Packing from expanded graphite yarn with glass fiber and inhibitors. The best choice for working at high temperature 500°C and high peripheral speed.

AVKOPACK® 1320GI

Packing made from expanded graphite, reinforced with inconel wire and added inhibitors for protection of armature.

AVKOPACK® 1331

Packing made from expanded graphite yarn with inhibitors and corner reinforced with carbon yarn. It is recommended for use at high temperature, high speed and where it is necessary the packing to be non-extrusion.

FINISEAL® 8009

High quality packing, diagonally braided from pure carbon fibers /carbon content 99%/ with modern technology of braiding and processing. The packing is additionally reinforced on the corners with soft Inconel wire.

AVKOPACK® 1301

Packing from carbon yarns for working at temperature 350-400°C and high speed.

AVKOPACK® 1302

Packing from carbonized yarns for work at temperature 300-350°C.
